Hey! I’m Kernell, a student photographer and creative at SMU in Dallas, Texas. I started photography through my love for sports, campus culture, and storytelling, and since then I’ve enjoyed capturing everything from game days and student traditions to events, portraits, and everyday moments around campus. I love creating photos that feel genuine and energetic while helping people relive experiences through visuals that stand out and tell a story.

I create content professionally as a @SMUDallas and @StudentsofSMU Social Media Intern where I pitch, shoot, edit and publish content reaching thousands, and as a Digital Ambassador for SMU Admissions I help shape how prospective students experience campus through visuals. I previously managed social media for a Dallas sports organization, growing their Instagram by 1,000+ followers in under 5 months.
